Mary Gegen is a paralegal with over 20 years of experience in the legal field. She joined Sachs Family Law, PC in May 2023, where she applies her extensive expertise to support clients through often challenging family law matters. Mary holds a B.A. in Political Science from Georgia State University and a Master’s Degree from The University of Georgia. She is a Certified Paralegal through NALA and was honored with the Gwinnett County Bar Association Mary Gegen Administrative Professionalism Award in 2016, a testament to her exceptional professionalism and commitment.

Mary’s professional philosophy is to help clients achieve the best possible solutions while remaining sensitive to the difficult situations they face. Her dedication and empathetic approach are evident in every case she handles.

Mary has lived in Georgia for over 30 years, but was raised in Ohio, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kansas.  Outside of work, Mary enjoys listening to and singing music, attending opera and theater productions, crocheting, and spending quality time with her family.

With an impressive 35 years of experience as a paralegal, in real estate transaction law and family law, Paula Lowe brings unparalleled expertise and dedication to her work at Sach’s Family Law. Paula’s career began in real estate law where she spent more than a decade assisting and guiding clients through the intricacies of real estate transactions. For the past 20 years, her focus has shifted to family law, where she quickly developed a passion for helping families navigate the complexities of family law.

Paula Lowe began her career in the legal field in 1989. Her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and compassionate approach have made her an invaluable asset to the firm. Paula is committed to ensuring that clients feel supported throughout their legal journeys, providing them with the information and resources they need to make informed decisions.

Transitioning to family law 20 years ago allowed Paula to combine her legal skills with her natural empathy. She works closely with families, helping them navigate emotionally charged situations such as divorce, custody disputes, and property division. Her commitment to helping families find resolutions is evident in the care and attention she gives to each case.

Outside of her professional life, Paula Lowe lives on a serene farm where she enjoys caring for her horses and trail riding with her husband, often taking their horses on weekend camping trips with friends and family. This peaceful setting provides her with a refreshing contrast to the fast-paced world of law. The responsibility of managing a farm has honed her skills in multitasking and time management—qualities that she applies to her work as a paralegal.

As a mother of three adult children and the grandmother of eight, a role that brings her immense joy. One of her greatest passions is supporting her grandchildren in their rodeo competitions or sporting events. Whether she’s attending their events or encouraging them from the sidelines, Paula loves being involved in their lives and watching them pursue their passions. She also understands the intricacies and challenges that families face, particularly during significant life transitions. Having experienced divorce twice herself, she approaches family law cases with empathy and insight, recognizing the emotional toll that legal matters can take on individuals and families. This personal experience fuels her passion for helping others navigate their own challenges, ensuring they feel heard and supported during difficult times.

As the Office Manager at Sachs Family Law, I bring a diverse background and a unique perspective to our team. Originally from Stamford, CT, I have cultivated a rich blend of experiences that contribute to the welcoming and efficient environment we pride ourselves on.

My journey to the legal field has been anything but conventional. Before joining Sachs Family Law, I spent most of my life in plumbing and bathroom sales, where I honed my skills in customer service, problem-solving, and effective communication. These experiences not only equipped me with a keen understanding of client needs but also refined my ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and approachable manner. My pleasant phone voice and interpersonal skills help create positive first impressions, ensuring our clients feel valued and understood from the very beginning.

On the personal front, I am a proud father of five children. Navigating the joys and challenges of raising a blended family has instilled in me a profound appreciation for adaptability and resilience. My experiences as a previously divorced and now remarried individual have further enriched my understanding of family dynamics, which I believe is invaluable in our legal practice, especially when dealing with family law matters.

At Sachs Family Law, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive atmosphere for both our clients and our staff. I manage daily operations, coordinate communications, and ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. In my spare time, I enjoy engaging with my children in various activities, from outdoor adventures to family game nights. I find that these moments not only strengthen our family bonds but also serve as a reminder of the importance of teamwork and collaboration—values that I carry into my professional life.
